More exciting news on the Continuing Education front! Our Ultimate Technology Certification Course was recently approved for 7 hours of CE credit in Pennsylvania. In addition, this program has been approved for 3 hours of CE credit in Maine and is currently being reviewed for credit in Texas and Rhode Island.

If your organization is looking to offer one of the best technology and sales programs in the industry, then The Ultimate Technology Certification Course is what you need.

The Ultimate Technology Certification Course is a full day program that is packed with information on integrating today’s technology with a proven sales process. We’ll show you how to increase your productivity and save you time simply by using the technology tools you already have.

We also have a real sweet deal to accompany this outstanding program. What if we told you that we will pay your organization to host this event? And, there are no catches to this offer. OK, maybe just a couple of catches, but we like to call them “simple requirements.”

For instance, you need to do some marketing to let members of your organization know about the program. And, you need to have a place for us to teach the program. And, just one more thing, you need to have at least 30 people attend the program. But, you probably do this all the time, so holding an event at your onsite training facility, or even at an offsite location, is a no-brainer. Communicating to your team is something you do on a regular basis. And, we’ll even provide you with the templates to help you with your marketing efforts.

So, how does your organization benefit? Well, for starters, your team will learn ways in which using technology (and we’re talking standard, regular, everyday technology like cell phones, Microsoft Outlook tools, PowerPoint, Instant Messaging, etc.) can help them be more productive and better at what they do. So, as an organization, you end up with some pretty tech-savvy professionals on your team.

Secondly, and here’s the really sweet part, we pay your organization to host this program based on the number of people who attend. Put 30 people in your training room and your organization gets $750.00 from us. How about 40 people? Can you get 40 people to attend an amazing technology event? If you can, we’ll pay your organization $1,250.00. Put 100 people through this program and we’ll pay your organization over $5,000.00!

Call us. Email us. Research this program online. Bring us in. We’re here to help you become more productive and more competitive in today’s market. We’ll even pay you to hire us!

Outlook 2007: Cool Tools at Last

Fourth time is a charm, at least for Microsoft’s latest upgrade to its ubiquitous Office suite. Since 1997, computer users worldwide have trusted their work to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. A decade of editions – from Version 97 to the latest Office 2007 has promised to be easier, faster and cooler. And each time, some functions – like previewing printouts before wasting paper - got a little easier, while other features – like the dreaded mail merge – became almost impossible. Maybe this time, Microsoft got it right? Well, let’s just see.

There is a great new tool by Google™ that will allow your website visitors to easily view the location and prices of housing in their area. It’s called My Maps and it allows you to not only post the location of homes but insert property photos and update postings live as homes sell.

Simply go to http://maps.google.com/, click on My Maps and create a new map.

Title it; describe it and then just map out the homes. Add a photo for each home and be as expressive as you want in the description. Save it in ‘Satellite Mode’ to allow your site visitor to view the actual satellite images of their soon-to-be neighborhood.  When you’re done, just add a link to your website for visitors to view.

Tech Tip #5: Let Outlook Remind You to Reply to an Email

If you’re like me, you receive lots of email every day. Some emails are easily sent to the deleted items folder, some are saved for future reference and many require replies. As part of my time-management routine, I schedule some “reply time” so that I can thoroughly read through my important emails and reply to them appropriately. A great tool that is built into Outlook allows me to set a reminder so that I don’t forget to reply to some of my emails. Here’s how to set a reminder:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Right click the message for which you want to configure the reminder.
  3. Point to Follow-up and click Add Reminder.
  4. In the Due By list, select the reminder date.
  5. Use the drop down arrow in the second list to select the reminder time.
  6. Click OK

Your email message will be flagged and added to your “For Follow Up” folder in Outlook. A reminder window will appear on the date and time you selected when you created your reminder. When you click “Open Item” in the reminder window, the email will automatically open for you to view. You may then proceed with replying to the sender.
